My Name is Ivy Thompson, I established this web site so that birth parents/family's of adopted children and adopted children themselves could have a low cost opportunity to find the people they are searching for.
I have a adopted daughter, who eventually traced her birth family and while i am still her 'mum' she has a large extended family plus no more gaps in her family life, she is happy.
I also have spent over 20 years working with children who for whatever reason have been removed from their birth family, regardless of the neglect and abuse many have suffered they all without exception wanted their 'real family back, the affect of that loss is unimaginable.

The aim is to give an opportunity for you to list your details and the details of the person you are searching for. UK Adoption law has finally been relaxed making it easier for Adopted People to be reunited with their Birth Family.
Also Birth Families can now, for the first time, trace the babies that were given up for adoption.
This is a massive change in the law, and will, it is hoped, help to fill the missing gap in so many peoples lives.
The best part is - you decide what level of information/contact you want.
Do you just want to know if your loved one is happy and safe?
Do you just need certain information, medical, for instance?
Do you want to find your missing loved one, but not have immediate contact?
